Retro Portfolio: MSU College of Human Medicine

The site for Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine was a project that I worked on while at MSU’s Division of University Relations.

The design process had been somewhat of a messy one, so the development process really needed to run smoothly. That need, combined with the fact that the CHM site would be the first college-level site at MSU to use a tableless layout, created a very high-pressure situation.

I was able to put together a set of site templates using XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS that worked to an acceptable level in every browser we tested.

After this site was completed, tableless layouts became the standard at University Relations and across MSU.

The above text and images were copied directly from my original portfolio as I imported it over to the blog. It was not updated for re-publishing. This project launched in May 2005.
