Retro Portfolio: FoodProtectionEducation.org

Working with the National Food Safety and Toxicology Center, Michigan State University’s Division of University Relations launched FoodProtectionEducation.org in early July of 2005. The project was the NFSTC’s contribution to a project being run by the National Center for Food Protection and Defense at the University if Minnesota, a group sponsored by the US Department of Homeland Security.

The initial design of FoodProtectionEducation.org (FPE) was created by University Relations designers before I developed the site.

The development was done in XHTML 1.0 Transitional with a CSS used for both formatting and layout.

Probably the most difficult part of the project was making all of the site’s content fit into the areas provided. In the end, I never did figure out how to fit some of the sections that were still in development at the time of the site’s initial launch into the page template, as this design was abandoned soon after that point.

The above text and image were copied directly from my original portfolio as I imported it over to the blog. It was not updated for re-publishing.
