With the predecessor site of DetroitHockey.Net having been founded in 1996, I wanted to celebrate the site’s 10th season in 2006 with a logo. Unfortunately, it took me until over halfway through that season to come up with one.
Sticking to my usual method of designing logos that could be worn as patches on a hockey jersey, I started with the basic outline of the NHL’s conference logos.
Inside that shape I placed the text “10th Season” arced over the site’s alternate logo. The years “1996” and “2006” were placed below and to the sides of that with the primary logo in at the very bottom.
The above text and image were copied directly from my original portfolio as I imported it over to the blog. It was not updated for re-publishing. This project launched in February 2006.
